Lac-Hydrin

Lac-Hydrin is a brand name of Ammonium Lactate topical lotion. This is used for very dry skin and other skin conditions. This can be sold in an over the counter strength as well as a prescription drug strength. Prescription strength lachydrin is called 12% lac hydrin.

When you’ve finished applying Lac-Hydrin cream or Lac-Hydrin lotion, be sure to wash your hands well immediately (unless your hands are the affected area requiring treatment) and be careful that you do not ingest this cream or get it in your eyes.

Follow Lac hydrin directions carefully according to your doctor’s prescribed orders and take care when exposing treated skin to sunlight as it may be more susceptible to sun burn and you do not want the cream to evaporate before it has a chance to be effective in treating your skin condition.
